Island Peak Climbing is among the most popular and explored trekking peaks lying in the Everest Region of Nepal. Island Peak appears like a sea of ice from Dingboche. Island Peak Climbing is generally combined with Everest Base Camp Trek.  This trip is a wonderful opportunity to climb mountains as well as enjoy the spectacular view of other majestic peaks like Makalu, Baruntse and Amadablam of Everest Region. Similarly, Nuptse, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar and Lhotse Middle Peak together stand in a semicircle which is simply outstanding.

Island Peak Climbing  generally follows its route along South East Flank and South-West Ridge arriving at the base camp Pareshaya Gyab. During heavy snowfall, Island Peak can prove risky due to possible avalanches. Therefore, most of the climbers choose to make alpine style camping which is much safer and enjoyable. Island Peak Climbing is a good way to start mountaineering for novice mountaineers before they go climb bigger and more challenging mountains. Experience of climbing Island Peak will give you enough experience and set proper acclimatization so that you can promptly make more demanding peak expeditions in future. However, in order to set acclimatization for Island Peak Climbing, it is a good idea to make Everest Base Camp or Kalapathar Trek.
